In 2010, over 75% of bookings were made by guests who have stayed at Carclaze Farm before. This is largely due to the close personal attention of owners Allen and Jean Nicholls, who live in the farmhouse and have run, maintained and managed Carclaze Farm for over 25 years. They ensure that quality and cleanliness is maintained throughout, and that Carclaze Farm’s reputation remains one of the highest in the area.
The cottages at Carclaze Farm have been crafted by local tradesmen using indigenous materials including local slate and Cornish stone. The property has a self sufficient water system supplied by its own private borehole in the grounds (tested in accordance with council regulations).
Each cottage has a private garden with outdoor furniture, a parasol and barbeque. All cottages are equipped with a television, DVD player, stereo, dishwasher and washing machine. Freshly laundered towels and bed linen are provided, as well as books, magazines and board games. Electricity is included in the tariff.
Children of all ages are welcome at Carclaze Farm – on request Jean and Allen can provide cots, stairgates and highchairs, and a babysitting service. Zippy the friendly farm dog gives an enthusiastic welcome to all visitors, including other well-behaved canine friends.
Safe off-road parking is provided for all cottages.
