Carclaze is set within the rolling Cornish
countryside. The spectacular North Cornwall coastline with its sandy
beaches, fishing villages and dramatic cliffs is only a ten minute drive
away whilst moorland, country houses, the Eden Project and numerous
renowned restaurants are also within close proximity.

Each of Carclazes four properties, formerly
owned by the Duchy of Cornwall, have been faithfully restored by local
craftsmen using traditional materials. The carefully chosen interiors
and well appointed rooms complete the high standard of accommodation.

and facilities
Carclaze
additionally offers four acres of grounds incorporating a variety of
indoor and outdoor facilities for all guests. A secluded walled garden
flanked by mature flowerbeds contains a barbecue, table and chairs ideal
for warm summer nights.

room and laundry
The old stone barn has been furnished with a full
size table-tennis table and selection of childrens games and toys.
Also within the barn is a coin operated washing machine and dryer for
occupants of the two smaller cottages.

area and animals
The paddock contains an adventure playground for
children including a swing, slide, see-saw, climbing net, play house,
badminton net, cricket set and swing ball. For animal lovers the meadow
contains sheep, angora goats, geese, chickens and ducks. All guests
are welcome to assist in the morning feed.

Other facilities available upon request include
pay as you go mobile phone, cot, baby sitting service, stair gate and
high chair. All water at Carclaze is from an annually tested private
borehole in the grounds.

Each year the majority of bookings are
made by previous clients. This is largely due to the close personal
attention of owners Allen and Jean Nicholls, who live in the farmhouse
and have maintained Carclaze for the last 15 years. They personally
ensure that quality and cleanliness is maintained throughout and that
Carclazes reputation remains one of the highest in North Cornwall.
